I have the Mk III, which sounds very good (although had occasional problems with a hum from the power supply). I do think the Mk III looks better but would like to give this one a go.
Tube amps like this pair well with open back AKGs (K601, K701, etc.), which sound thin without the extra power at the low frequencies.
